Course Overview
The ProQual Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice is a high-level qualification designed for professionals responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety procedures within an organisation.
It is aimed at supervisors, managers, and health and safety practitioners seeking to enhance their competence, meet compliance obligations, and promote a strong health and safety culture.
This qualification is competence-based and assessed through practical application in the workplace, ensuring learners gain real-world skills relevant to their current or future roles.

- Create, implement, and review robust emergency response procedures.
- Evaluate and improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of safety management systems.
- Monitor and integrate new health and safety legislation, standards, and best practices.
- Build and maintain a CPD portfolio demonstrating competence, reflection, and ongoing improvement.
Entry Requirements: There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. Centers should carry out an initial assessment of candidate skills and knowledge to identify any gaps and help plan the assessment. This qualification is approved for candidates aged 19+
