Course Overview
The ProQual Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Health & Safety Leadership & Management is designed for senior managers and health & safety professionals who are responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety strategies within complex organisational environments.
The qualification equips learners with advanced strategic and technical skills in risk-based safety systems, safety culture development, sustainability integration, digital technologies in safety management, strategic leadership, and business risk management processes.
Learners will be able to demonstrate high-level competence in aligning health & safety management systems with organisational objectives, influencing corporate safety culture, and applying evidence-based decision-making to enhance workplace safety performance.
Learning Objectives
On completion of this qualification, learners will be able to:
- Apply and evaluate ISO and recognised health & safety standards within strategic occupational safety systems.
- Conduct advanced risk assessment and risk communication at organisational level, aligning with corporate objectives.
- Promote and sustain a positive safety culture, integrating global and sustainability considerations.
- Use digital technologies, robotics, AI, and data analysis to improve safety performance and manage emerging risks.
- Lead strategic incident investigation processes, including ecological, ergonomic, chemical, and biohazard risk controls.
- Develop strategic leadership and personal development plans to enhance organisational safety performance.
- Establish, monitor, and evaluate business risk management processes integrated with business continuity and crisis management.
- Measure safety performance and return on investment (ROI) to inform organisational decision-making.
Entry Requirements:
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. Centers should carry out an initial assessment of candidate skills and knowledge to identify any gaps and help plan the assessment. This qualification is approved for candidates aged 19+
